I see that you can change the folder that media uploads to, which is a great feature, thank you.
I wonder though, if a folder already has a lot of files in it, is there a way to bulk add them to be available in the component?
We've been offering online media for about 6 years now. I have a folder with literally hundreds of weekend messages... 1mp3 and 3 pdf's per message. Is there a way to bulk add these? or will I have to upload them one at a time through the UI?

Hi Brian,

If you know SQL, you can do this quite easily. That is exactly what I did when we migrated our site to BSM.

There still needs to be some kind of data source - an excel file for example, that contains some kind of referential link between your studies and your media files.

I can probably help you out with this if you're interested. It's not hard, but it's not "plug and play" either...

I know some extremely basic SQL... but so little that I debated over saying "no, I don't know SQL."
I'm a quick learner with programming, etc... so I'm up for the challenge if you're up for offering a bit of How-To.

So in Pseudo code:
1) Scan a folder on the server
2) For each subFolder in the scanned folder, add a new Folder Record in BSM
3) For each Folder added in BSM database, add any media file records corresponding to that folder in BSM

The theory sounds right, yes. The practice just affirmed how little I know.
