Joomla Bible Study

HI!
I was using bible study version 6.0.11. I just downloaded the 6.1.2. I tried upgrading from the joomla administration...by just installing from there...but got a could not create folder /assets/avr error. So I decided to do a manual install by unzipping the file, and over wrote all the files with the new version in com_ biblestudy folder and the administrator/com_biblestudy folder. I then took the install.sql file and executed it w/in phpMyAdmin. I'm am not sure if these files need a home (biblestudy.xml, install.biblestudy.php, uninstall.biblestudy.php) if so...I'm not sure where they go.
Right now the backend seems to work, but it is still showing the old version number when I look at installed components.
The front end however is only displaying errors...Warning: mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/gvp/public_html/libraries/joomla/database/database/mysql.php on line 344

I must have missed something somewhere...I'm just not sure what.

Hi Tammy - try installing All Videos Reloaded (I think the latest version is 1.2.6 but not sure) and run the Bible Study install again. It won't work to do the method you tried as there are MANY SQL entries in the installation routine itself.

What you encountered may be a bug - I'm interested if you had AVR installed before?

I already have All Videos Reloaded 1.2.6 installed. However I'm not using it...I"m just using the mp3 player that comes with Bible Study.
I went to the admin backend of joomla, and installed the biblestudy component from there. I got a "Congratulations, Bible Study Message Manager has been installed successfully. " For some reason it was able to install this time...maybe because all the folders were already created.
Bible study backend looks more correct now, shows correct version and new tabs in studies manager.
The front end is still showing the same mysql errors.
Not sure where to go from here..
Any thoughts?

Have you tried looking at your studies records? I assume the link above goes to the studieslist view? Make sure you have studies published. You can also contact me via private support (link is at bottom of this site) and give me an admin user/pass and I can take a look.

I also assume 6.0.11a was working, yes?
