You need to play around with the column widths - decide if the overall width is in pixels (recommended) or a percentage, then choose widths for each column - that's why it looks funny.

Getting there! I needed to specify pixels. Doing so seems to have sorted it.

There are some things that seem to be missing from the list you get when you link the component to a menu item, such as column headings, pdf icon, background colour, and scripture chapter and verses. The latter is the one I really want. Is that, or any of the others, set-able?

The module isn't exactly like the component listing - not yet anyway. You can have scripture as an item you show - its one of the items in the module parameters. Column headings would be problematic due to the highly configurable nature but I'll put these down as feature suggestions for the next release.
