Greetings.
This would be excellent, our website has its content in Spanish and English, and I've just realised that as it is now, I can not post the text bible studies, since they are in both languages, soon to be in French, God willing.
With this implementation your component will be even more useful, since it will eliminate the need for other ways (Different components or modules) to keep content organized.
I'll pray that God will illuminate your mind and provide the guidance needed to accomplish this.
God Bless and guide you.

Can you give us an idea how you used Joomfish with Biblestudy? You say you created an addon? Any help would be appreciated.

Hey Tom,

basically the way that joomfish works, is that you tell it where data is located in the database. All that is done through an XML file.

I did a test a while back to be able to translate a few fields in a study. (EX: study title, date, ....and some other simple once)...

I just didn't have the time to look over the joomfish api and documentation, to have a complete XML.

But keep in mind, all of this is separate from biblestudy, so the XML file that we can create, will be installed in JoomFish.

That sounds great, Eugen. One of the problems I had was that Joomla doesn't translate db queries. So for the Bible books, for example, I had to do a query, load the results in an array, then run them through a manual drop down box and the JText method. That may also be causing the problems with the Czech translation -

Ok, attached is an XML (to be put in "administrator/components/com_joomfish/contentelements")

which will enable the transation of bible books, but I had to make some changes to "default.php" template from studieslist.

for Joomfish to kick in, in every query, you have to select the "id" field...thats why I had t edit the tmpl.

I attached both... (or you can update SVN)
