Joomla Bible Study

I just started using Bible Study recently, and I'm loving it. I also work as a programmer, and would be interested in helping out with maintenance, bug fixes, etc. Could you use any help, or would that be too many fingers in the pot?

Now, I haven't worked with Joomla before, so I'd have to spend a bit of time familiarizing myself. Can y'all recommend a good introductory site? I'd like to get my feet wet.
