Would it be possible to record a book of the bible for a series?
Currently im just putting it in the title, eg '2 Thessalonians - The return of the king'

Would be nice to eventually have a filter for series on particular books of the bible.

How about if the series filter list was filtered by the book filter list? I.e. if you first selected a book (2 Thess) then the series drop-down would only show series that contained at least one sermon from 2 Thess? Not exactly what you ask for ... but may be useful for filters to filter each other ... (Would then be good to have a reset filters button or something like that.)

Hey Richard - how would you see that appearing on the page, as a drop down like "Our Series"?

Tom:: I thought that it would work well on the Series List page so that you can filter sermons by book of the bible.. also means you don't have to put the book of the bible in the series title. Our church's series are all on a single book of the bible, or section thereof, so would be nice to filter to see, eg, all series on Mark.

Jonathan:: i think it might be helpful to have the series filter list filtered by the book filter list.. but the case that i'm thinking of is when a series is just a set of talks on a single book of the bible. Do you think it would be confusing to have filters filtering each other?

...I've just input the series titles for our last 2 years' sermons and I've got 20 or so.. hence the need for filtering on bible book once i've input all 2000 sermons / 200 series!

I'm trying to picture how you see this working Richard. Could you knock up a sketch of how the filtering would work?

..ie we have
- a dropdown list to filter by series
and
- a list of series in a table.

When series is selected on the dropdown list, the list of series in the table is reduced to one: the one that matches the choice made in the dropdown list.
